I started in the off-site media protection industry in 1993 as founder of OFFSITE Services, Inc., a regional media protection organization located in Rockford IL (outside of Chicago). Over the course of 10 years, OFFSITE Services grew to include significant customer, tape rotations, and revenue in the Chicago area.
In 2003 Iron Mountain purchased OFFSITE Services. I was employed by Iron Mountain as a Manager or Accounts Services for Chicago IL, Milwaukee WI, and Minneapolis MN. While with Iron Mountain, responsibilities included heading up the account management team, customer retention, total customer satisfaction, training of Iron Mountain staff and customers on SecureSync, as well as being involved as part of the development team for future releases of SecureSync.
I left Iron Mountain to start The DataCenter Data Protection Inc., again providing customers with secure data protection, co-location of customer server hardware, secure destruction of information, disaster recovery consulting, and disaster recovery services and user work space.
Prior to working in the media protection industry, I held various IT positions; serveal sints as an Applications Programmer (various companies, including Textron Inc), IT Management (Nissan of Japan), IT Director (Nylint Toys). I believe these experiences have given me the opportunity to understand the details of why this industry is so important - as well as - how to best apply the solutions.
