Marvin Parker is the General Manager of DocuSafe Data & Records Management in New Jersey and has participated in both PRISM and ARMA for the past eleven years. He served for several years on the board of his local ARMA chapter in Central New Jersey.
He was Executive Vice President of a large moving and storage company in New York City for 15 years where he acquired his operational and managerial skills. Under his direction DocuSafe has grown from 50,000 boxes in storage in 1996 to almost 1 million boxes, 500,000 tapes and 500,000 open shelf files today.
Docusafe installed their first Firelock Data security vault in 2001 and installed an additional 3 vaults in 2003. All of the vaults meet NFPA 232 standards as well as ANSI IT9.11 and NFPA 75. Marvin feels that strict security controls and standards have fueled the rapid growth of DocuSafe. "We try not to sell on price but on standards of service."
